My name is Cynthia and I love interior design, architecture, antiques, all things vintage, all things British (a tried and true Anglophile), a love of things that are time worn and hold secrets of days gone by. I love animals and try to respect their place in our world. I enjoying talking about the most beautiful places in the world, some exotic, some in our own neck of the woods. I love family and friends, music and movies. And most importantly, I love talking about these things with a daily dose of humor because I love to laugh and we all deserve to. So come on...let's go for a stroll.

Plunge into Grandeur - Exotic and One of a Kind Pools

The Devoto House - Argentina

It's swim time, and as I enjoy my pool this season, it makes me curious about what the world has to offer in swimming pools.  After perusing beautiful pools all over the net, I have featured some that I find beautiful, and others that are simply works of art.  Enjoy.

A backyard sanctuary -- from Elle Decor Magazine

A private villa in Italy -- The pool? not so great - the view? Extraordinary

A glass concept pool - incredible

Costa Rica

What a pool blog without the pool at the Hearst Castle in San  Simeon, California?

Mumbai

This pool is obviously not being used, but is abandoned at a school in England -- I just thought the
photograph was haunting and very interesting

Private Luxury

A rooftop pool in Paris

A private pool at a villa in Provence, France

It is no big surprise that this amazing spot belongs to Rickie and  Ralph Lauren? Everything in their world is stunning

Rooftop in the orient with infinity edge -- gorgeous yet a little scary!

Wow! Those pools look heavenly! I’m sure a lot of people would not think twice to take a plunge in these gorgeous water features! I totally fell in love with all of them, particularly with that backyard sanctuary. But I feel a little sad about the abandoned pool. I hope the school would renovate the area and rebuild the pool for the students.
